The submission deadline will be December 31, 2021 11:59 PM ET.
Posters will be viewable throughout the entire conference, March 13-15, 2022. Dedicated poster session times will be as follows*:
- Sunday, March 13, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CT
- Monday, March 14, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM CT
- Tuesday, March 15, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM CT
*All times are subject to change.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
Oral presentations will be selected from abstracts submitted by the December 31, 2021 deadline. We request those not selected for oral presentations to present their poster as part of the in-person and virtual poster sessions.
The first author (presenting author) will receive all future correspondence from MDA regarding the abstract.
Abstract titles should be 150 characters including spaces. Abstract body should not exceed 300 words.
Authors may submit abstracts on the following topics in neuromuscular disease (NMD) research and care:
- Pre-Clinical Research
- Translational Research
- Clinical Trials
- Clinical Management
Virtual Poster Guidelines:
Final submission can be via one-page PDF of your data. (PDF specs will be available soon!)
All submissions must include the first name, last name, and email address of the author best suited to answer questions.
QR codes may be included as part of your poster to direct viewers to a download of your poster.
Final submission deadlines, PDF specifications and the submission process will be announced shortly.
In Person Poster Guidelines:
Poster size should be no greater than 36" WIDE x 48" HIGH (portrait orientation).
You are responsible for printing and delivering your poster to your designated poster location.
MDA 2022 Embargo Policy
The embargo on all abstracts accepted for the 2022 MDA Clinical & Scientific Conference lifts on the date and time the abstract is publicly released by MDA.
While authors may publish that their poster has been selected for inclusion in the conference program, data from the final poster presentation may not be shared in any form (print, broadcast or online publication, media release or conference presentation) prior to its official presentation at MDA Conference 2022. Authors retains copyright of his or her abstract and poster.
Encores are permitted provided that: (i) copyright requirements from the initial conference are respected and (ii) prior presentations are disclosed.
